When a new year starts with a sunrise like this, how can we top it?
This morning was so beautiful. On some other days, people would see this and maybe a few would stop to admire the view, but this being a new year’s day, hundreds of people gathered around a good scenic spots to watch the sunrise along the Tsurumi River of Yokohama, awaiting for the sun to rise.
Birds flying in flock did not seem to behave any differently than they do on other days.  Nor the dogs being walked. Nor the cats living outside. Just us humans assign significance to the days.
